Abstract
In order to investigate the stability of characteristic/effective components in cinnamon-chromium capsules,and to evaluate their adjunctive hypoglycemic effects,accelerated destructive tests were conducted to determine the content of cinnamaldehyde and chromium in cinnamic chromium capsules stored for 0,1,2 and 3 months.A total of 112 participants with type 2 diabetes and impaired glucose regulation were randomly divided into a test group and a control group based on their glycosylated hemoglobin and blood glucose levels.The test group took cinnamon chromium capsule while the control group took an equivalent dose of placebo for 60 days.Subjects' blood glucose changes and the improvement of symptoms were observed.The results indicated that the cinnamon chromium capsule had good stability as the content of cinnamaldehyde and chromium had no significant changes.After taking cinnamon chromium capsule,the main clinical symptoms of test group were significantly improved,and the fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin levels were significantly decreased,while the blood lipid level had no significant increase.No adverse reactions and allergic symptoms were observed during trials.Therefore,it could be concluded that the contents of cinnamaldehyde and chromium in cinnamic-chromium capsule were stable and controllable,then can be used as the index of product quality control in the study of efficacy;The cinnamon-chromium capsule has an auxiliary hypoglycemic effect,and no adverse effect on human health..关键词
