Abstract

Mycotoxin contamination in oilseeds is of particular concern because of their potential adverse effects,hence reliable analytical methods are required for detection and quantification.This study aims to develop a rapid method for the detection of ten mycotoxins in oilseeds using amine-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes(NH2-MWCNTs)as adsorbents for dispersive solid-phase extraction(d-SPE)coupled with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).The structural and morphological characteristics of NH2-MWCNTs were analyzed using X-ray diffraction method,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and transmission electron microscopy,confirming increased surface defects after modification.The optimal pretreatment conditions were identified as 2%(V/V)formic acid in acetonitrile-water(80:20)as the extraction solvent and 20 mg NH2-MWCNTs as the adsorbent.The 10 mycotoxins exhibited good linearity within 1-20 μg/kg.The detection and quantitation limits ranged from 0.04 to 0.19 μg/kg and 0.13 to 0.63 μg/kg,respectively.The spiked recovery rates were 70.33%~111.67%and 0.55%~9.60%,respectively.The proposed method is simple,rapid,and environmentally friendly,substantially reducing pre-treatment time and organic solvent consumption.Utilization of NH2-MWCNTs could be an effective approach for determining various mycotoxins in oilseeds.
