Relationship Between Micronutrient Levels and Frailty in Elderly Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

Abstract
[Objective]Exploring the status of micronutrient levels in elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and their cor-relation with frailty.[Method]Totally 144 elderly CHF patients who received treatment in our hospital from April 2022 to April 2024 were selected as the research subjects.According to their frailty status,the patients were divided into a frailty group(n=50)and a non frailty group(n=94).Compare the levels of micronutrients,echocardiographic indicators,and related factors affecting frailty between two groups of patients,and plot receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.[Result]The proportion of patients with≥5 underlying diseases and the proportion of multiple medications in the frailty group were higher than those in the non frailty group(P<0.05).The 25-(OH)D levels in the frailty group were lower than those in the non frailty group(P<0.05).The LVEF of patients in the frailty group was lower than that of the non frailty group.The left atrial diameter was higher in the non frailty group than in the control group(P<0.05).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that the number of underlying diseases,25-(OH)D levels,and LVEF levels were independent risk factors for elderly CHF patients with concomitant failure(P<0.05).According to ROC curve analysis,the combined diagnosis of the number of underlying diseases,25-(OH)D levels,and LVEF levels has a high predictive value for elderly CHF patients with concomitant failure,with an AUC value of 0.899.[Conclusion]The occurrence of frailty in elderly CHF patients is related to the number of underlying diseases,vitamin D deficiency,and LVEF levels.The combined diagnosis of frailty in elderly CHF patients is of high value.关键词
