Humidity-sensitivity properties of reduced graphene oxide/polystyrene composites

Abstract
A resistive humidity sensor was prepared using reduced graphene oxide/polystyrene(RGO/PS)composites,which was prepared by a hydrothermal-assisted in-situ polymerization method.The humidity-sensitive characteristics and response mechanism were also deeply investigated for this sensor.The test results show that,at room temperature and humidity between 11%RH and 90%RH,the response current of the RGO/PS humidity sensor varies from 1.0×10-11/A to 1.0 ×10-7/A,which spans four orders of magnitude.The response and recovery times of this sensor are 35.7 s and 4.3 s respectively,and it has good linearity and excellent long-term stability.The research shows that modifying RGO with organic polymers is an effective way to improve the humidity-sensitivity of the materials.This work can provide certain experimental references for the development of high-performance RGO-based humidity sensors.关键词
