Abstract

'Hutai No.8'grapes were used as experimental materials to investigate the effects of different concentrations of Alpinia officinarum rhizome compound extract combined with a 4%soluble starch coating on postharvest preservation.The results showed that,compared with the control group,the combined treatment effectively inhibited increases in percentage of thresh(5.06%-8.66%at 56 d,while the control group was 14.61%),decay rate(8.80%-15.06%at 56 d,while the control group was 36.27%),and polyphenol oxidase activity(24.80-37.60 U·min-1·g-1 at 56 d,while the control group was 46.10 U·min-1·g-1),while slowing the decline in vitamin C content(116-154 mg·kg-1 at 56 d,while the control group was 103.00 mg·kg-1)and pedicel chlorophyll content(0.04-0.05 mg·g-1 at 56 d,while the control group was 0.03 mg·g-1).This treatment also helped maintain fruit firmness and sensory quality,thereby extending the storage period by 14-28 days.Among the treatments,group Ⅲ(Alpinia officinarum∶Caryophyllata flos∶Glycyrrhiza radix et rhizoma=9∶9∶4.5)exhibited the best preservation effect,maintaining the postharvest quality of'Hutai No.8'grapes most effectively.
