Triple-dilemma of English Teachers' Work:The Voice from Teachers
摘要
Abstract
What makes middle school English teachers get stuck?Based on the data collected by semi-structured and in-depth interviews with 13 middle school English teachers,adopting three-level coding procedure rooted in theory to ana-lyze the data,a triple dilemma framework of work-related challenges faced by middle school English teachers has been constructed,and it consists of three aspects:professional quality,subject environment and teaching support,with the focus on how to teach effectively,how to cater to teaching evaluation and how to form synergy to educate,and triple-dilemma co-exist and eliminate each other.To solve the dilemma,the following measures could be considered:improve professional quality,and accelerate the development of English teachers training system;deepen the evaluation reform,and rationally treat and optimize the English subject environment;perfect education management,and provide a supportive work environ-ment for teachers;form systematic thinking,and comprehensively break through triple dilemma.关键词
