摘要

Abstract

Number operations represent an abstraction of quantity operations.The essential distinction lies in that quantity operations possess concrete contextual backgrounds,whereas number operations lack such contexts.The concepts of multiplicand and multiplier are exclusively relevant to quantity multiplication.In numerical multiplication,deprived of concrete contexts,it becomes impossible to distinguish which factor serves as multiplicand and which as multiplier.During mathematics instruction,when abstracting from quantity multiplication to number multiplication,educators must facilitate students'perception of the relationships between measurement units inherent in quantity multiplication.
