Progress in research on bioactive compounds of different parts of pomegranate as a medicinal and edible plant and their biological activities

Abstract
Pomegranate is an important plant recognized for its food-medicine homology and is widely used in food,medicine and healthcare products.Various bioactive compounds,including polyphenols,flavonoids,alkaloids,organic acids and estrogen-like substances were identified in pomegranate.However,a systematic review of these compounds in pomegranate remained limited.This paper provided a comprehensive overview of the bioactive compounds found in various parts of pomegranate and their associated biological activities,aiming to provide valuable references for the dual medicinal and food applications of pomegranate.关键词
