Effects of Different Rootstocks on the High-Temperature Resistance and Fruit Quality of'Sunshine Muscat'Grapes

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of different rootstocks on the high-temperature resistance and fruit quality of'Sunshine Muscat'grape,aiming to identify suitable rootstocks for enhancing their high-temperature adaptability and fruit quality.Using adult'Sunshine Muscat'grape grafted onto four rootstocks('Kyoho''Huajia No.8''5BB'and'Beta')and self-rooted trees of the same age as test materials,physiological and biochemical indicators such as leaf POD,SOD,and CAT activities,relative water content,and chlorophyll content,as well as fruit quality indicators such as soluble solids,titratable acidity,and aroma substance content,were measured under high-temperature conditions.High-temperature resistance was analyzed using the membership function method,and fruit quality was evaluated through principal component analysis.The results showed that the'Beta'rootstock significantly enhanced the antioxidant enzyme activities,leaf water retention capacity,and photosynthetic efficiency of'Sunshine Muscat'grape,while reducing membrane peroxidation damage.Additionally,the fruit cluster weight,soluble solids content,and aroma substance content of grapes grafted onto'Beta'rootstock performed optimally.In conclusion,the'Beta'rootstock demonstrated the best overall effect in improving both high-temperature resistance and fruit quality of'Sunshine Muscat'grape.This study provides a theoretical basis for selecting rootstocks for'Sunshine Muscat'grape cultivation in high-temperature regions.关键词
