Effect of niobium doping on the electrochemical properties of LiMn0.5Fe0.5PO4/C

Abstract
LiMn0.5Fe0.5PO4/C has received widespread attention because of its high energy density and high voltage platform.However,its low conductivity and poor cycling stability limit its practical application.In this study,niobium-doped lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode materials were prepared by a combination method of ball milling and spray drying.Ball milling can effectively promote the dispersion of the precursors in the solution,while spray drying can refine the particle size and shorten the ion transport distance,and the combination of these two methods is synergistic.In order to further enhance the electrochemical performance of lithium manganese iron phosphate,the effect of niobium doping on the performance of LiMn0.5Fe0.5PO4/C was investigated.It is finally concluded that LiMn0.5Fe0.485Nb0.015PO4/C has a good crystal structure and excellent electrochemical properties.The experiments showed that the initial discharge capacity was 137 mAh·g-1 at 0.1C and the capacity retention was 90.8%after 200 cycles at 1C.The experimental results demonstrate that the dual means of carbon capping as well as Nb doping are effective methods to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium manganese iron phosphate electrode materials.关键词
