Embedding the Spirit of Educator in Teacher Education Curriculum Reform:Values,Connotations,and Practice

Abstract
Spirit of educator,inheriting China's traditional cultural and responding to contemporary demands,has shaped the profile of teachers in the new era.It provides both a value-driven compass and practical direction for cultivating a high-quality,professional teaching force to advance the construction of an education powerhouse.Teacher education curriculum serves as the pivotal component in preparing pre-service teachers'professionalism.Integrating teacher education curriculum reform with the spirit of educators is crucial for enhancing professional education for teachers.This approach propels teacher education from a knowledge-skill orientation toward value-spirit leadership,embodies cultural consciousness in teacher edu-cation,identifies teachers'professional competencies,and achieves competency-oriented teacher development.Curriculum reform will center on the spirit of educators as its core value,reconstructing teacher ethics courses,strengthening ideological and political education within professional courses,and expanding educational research methodology courses;It will in-tegrate academic and practical courses through cyclical competency transformation,modular design,diversified pedagogies,and expanded partnership.It will align course evaluation with professional credentials requirements by implementing per-formance-based assessments,promoting consistence and coherence between teacher preparation and certification systems to achieve consistence between preservice preparation,assessment and requirement for entry.Practically,the teacher ethics curriculum will focus on cultivation and reflection through ideological guidance,curriculum integration,and course expan-sion.Professional courses will adjust learning pathways,reconstruct frameworks,and introduce diverse pedagogies;Practi-cal courses will establish a multidimensional system,connect theoretical knowledge with situated practical learning,integrate practice with research,and expand practical learning opportunities.Spirit of educator will reshape teacher education curricu-la across multiple dimensions,supporting the development of an education powerhouse.关键词
