Abstract

In response to the difficulty of directly measuring the gripping force of the gripper jaws in the transfer mechanism of an offset printing press and the susceptibility of pressure sensors to damage,an indirect detection method for the gripping force based on force coupling relationships is proposed.By establishing a mechanical model of the gripper jaws,data were acquired using a thin-film pressure sensor and a load cell.The acquisition module FPSV03 was connected to a computer to enable data interaction,constructing a digital platform for gripping force detection.This platform was successfully applied to monitor the gripping force in the transfer mechanism's gripper jaws.The results showed that in an analysis of 140 sets of data across seven gripping time nodes,the spring force increased from 33.52 N to 39.59 N during stages t1 to t6,while the gripping force correspondingly increased from 50.86 N to 63.50 N.Further comparison and regression analysis yielded the force coupling equation:Fg=4.206Fs-91.513.This research provides a novel methodological reference for the indirect measurement and real-time monitoring of gripping force in the transfer mechanisms of offset printing presses.
