Teachers' Professional Ethics Assessment Based on Practice-Situation:Theoretical Analysis and Method Comparison

Abstract
The assessment of teacher professional ethics,as a critical component in the con-struction of teacher professional ethics and professional conduct and a long-standing challenge in academic research,derives its complexity from the implicit,contextual,and comprehensive nature of ethical conceptions.Focusing on core theoretical and practical issues,this study systematically analyzes the fundamental elements of teacher ethics assessment from dual perspectives of technol-ogy and value,including the scientific definition of assessment content,the rational construction of reference standards,and the clear establishment of value orientations.Methodologically,it system-atically reviews and critiques mainstream international approaches to assessing teachers' profes-sional ethics,with a particular emphasis on the Intermediate Concept Measure and Situational Judgment Tests,exploring their theoretical design logic and practical application outcomes.Building on this analysis,the study proposes and elaborates on a practice-situated orientation for teacher professional ethics assessment.This orientation emphasizes evaluating teacher ethics with-in authentic educational contexts,grounding assessments in concrete practices.Its core character-istics include:close alignment with real teaching scenarios,highlighting a practice-driven ap-proach;comprehensive reflection of the multifaceted composition of teachers' professional ethical competence through multidimensional situational task design;balancing moral self-awareness and professional norms to enhance the interpretability of assessment indicators;and fostering teachers'moral agency by advocating empowerment rather than constraint,thereby promoting the construc-tion of a shared professional ethical belief system.This orientation offers a novel perspective for deepening theoretical discussions and holds potential advantages in improving assessment authen-ticity and enhancing the alignment between evaluations and actual behaviors.It also provides new design insights for the development of assessment tools.关键词
