Construction of an Evaluation Index System for the Quality of Illustrations in Art Textbooks

Abstract
As the primary visual elements and core components of art textbooks,illustrations directly determine the overall quality of art textbooks.However,research on evaluating art textbook illustration quality remains nascent in China.This study systematically reviews domestic and international literature related to illustrations in art textbooks and analyzes illustrations used for teaching in art textbooks and teaching reference materials.Through expert consultations and question-naire surveys,the connotation of illustration quality in art textbooks is thoroughly examined.An evaluation index system for the quality of art textbook illustrations is constructed,comprising four first-level indicators-alignment with curriculum stan-dards,cognitive constructiveness,experiential support,and visual logic-and ten second-level indicators,including accuracy of knowledge presentation,support for competency goals,effectiveness of cognitive guidance,text-image interactivity,guid-ance on learning strategies,perceptual guidance and explorability,deepening of aesthetic cognition,support for learning transfer,clarity of information presentation,and adherence to visual cognitive development principles.The index system was finalized following interviews and acceptability surveys.关键词
