Regional Climatic Impacts on Grape Organic Acids Metabolism

Abstract
The molecular response mechanisms of grape organic acids to regional climatic differences remain insufficiently studied.In this study,we investigated vineyards in Fukang(Xinjiang)and Longshan(Shandong).By integrating meteorological data from 2021 to 2022,we monitored the dynamic changes in sugar and acid profiles,as well as the expression of genes related to tartaric acid biosynthesis across developmental stages over two consecutive years.The results showed that while sugar and acid variations followed similar trends during early developmental stages,the differences between the two regions were amplified significantly from veraison onwards.Under the dry climate of Fukang,sugar accumulation accelerated and acidity declined rapidly;under the humid climate of Longshan,malic and tartaric acids were maintained at higher levels.Molecular analysis revealed that regional differences were primarily characterized by temporal shifts in gene expression(e.g.,the shifting of expression peaks for VvALMT9 and redox-related genes)and region-specific transcriptional activities in cell wall degradation and sugar transport pathways post-veraison.This study elucidates the regulatory mechanisms of regional climate on organic acid accumulation at the transcriptional level,providing theoretical support for region-specific vineyard management and acidity regulation.关键词
