The Inherent Logic,Practical Gaps,and Optimizing Pathways of High-impact Educational Practices in Empowering College Students' Employability

Abstract
Guided by the national strategic goal of"promoting high-quality and full employment for college gradu-ates",higher education urgently needs to reconstruct its talent cultivation paradigm to effectively respond to the demand for high-quality labor in economic and social development.As a vital component of the college educational system,high-im-pact educational practices are of core value in fostering the endogenous growth of students' employability through systemat-ic and contextualized participatory mechanisms.At the practical level,based on large-scale survey data from the National College Student Survey(NCSS)concerning college students' employability and their engagement in high-impact education-al practices,current efforts to empower employability through high-impact educational practices face three challenges:a lack of substantial design in practice implementation,the alienation of student participation processes,and the diminishing effectiveness in actual empowerment.To bridge this gap,universities must undertake systematic reforms across three di-mensions:optimizing practice models,stimulating deep engagement,and focusing on capability enhancement.This will help to establish a practice-based education system that integrates internal and external resources,fosters student agency,and is guided by evaluation mechanisms,thereby effectively enhancing the employability of college students.关键词
