Analysis of Innovative Mathematics Question Types in the New College Entrance Examination and Teaching Recommendations

Abstract

To accelerate the construction of a strong education nation and cultivate innovative talents,this study analyzes the dimensions and trends of assessing innovative abilities in the college entrance examination mathematics section.Through statistical analysis of innovative mathematics questions from 2020 to 2025,textual analysis was conducted across five dimensions:context,question formulation,format,knowledge integration,and thinking.Findings reveal:The number of context-innovation questions remains stable,focusing on solid geometry and mathematical modeling;knowledge-integration questions have significantly increased in the past three years,gradually becoming a prominent question type,frequently integrating modules such as functions and derivatives,sequences,and emphasizing the assessment of mathematical abstraction and logical reasoning;the number of flexible-thinking questions fluctuates but remains high,emphasizing innovative,reverse,and divergent thinking.Based on these findings,the following teaching recommendations are proposed:Flexibly utilize textbooks to strengthen knowledge connections;implement problem-posing instruction to foster innovative thinking;optimize homework assignments to enhance the ability to synthesize and apply knowledge.
