Analytical method for 20 synthetic colorants and dyes in freshly prepared beverages using UPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS

Abstract
A rapid detection system based on UPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS for simultaneous analysis of 11 synthetic colorants and 9 dyes in freshly prepared beverages was developed.A simple acetonitrile extraction-water dilution pretreatment was employed,with gradient elution performed on a C18 MG Ⅲ column using 10 mmol/L ammonium acetate aqueous solution and acetonitrile containing 0.05%acetic acid as mobile phases.Detection was carried out in positive/negative ion switching mode via electrospray ionization,and high-accuracy mass data were acquired using full scan/data-dependent MS2(Full MS/dd-MS2)acquisition.Method validation demonstrated excellent linearity(R2>0.9971)for all the 20 target analytes in the range of 0.0038~0.12 mg/kg,with average spiked recoveries of 72.6%~107.9%and precision RSDs of 2.0%~8.5%.The method was characterized by simplicity,high sensitivity,and reliability,meeting the requirements for high-throughput screening and quantitative detection of synthetic colorants and dyes in freshly prepared beverages.关键词
