Exploring the Value and Cultivation Strategies of Children's Caring Thinking in the Digital Age

摘要

Abstract

Caring thinking constitutes a vital dimension of children's cognition,representing a higher-order cognitive mode and disposition for action grounded in value judgments,connected through affective resonance,and guided by ethical principles.Its significance manifests in three primary aspects:bridging emotion and cognition to ensure emotional continu-ity throughout the thinking process;Enabling the dialogical self to move from closure to openness through dialogue;and fostering inter-subjective understanding and respect to cultivate caring and inclusive relationships.However,in the digital age,the development of children's caring thinking faces significant impediments due to the technologization of interperson-al interaction,the digitization of teaching and learning,and exposure to harmful online content.To address these challeng-es,educators can employ the following cultivation strategies:establish Philosophy for Children inquiry communities to cre-ate an intellectually safe climate characterized by equality,respect,and emotional richness;guide children to engage with the broader world,expanding the scope of their caring thinking;encourage children to build authentic caring relationships with proximate"others",laying an emotional foundation.These approaches aim to help children rebuild emotional connec-tions within technological environments,assisting them in maintaining emotional warmth and rational thinking in the digital era,ultimately nurturing them into well-rounded individuals equipped with critical,creative,and caring capacities.
