Abstract
Ideological and political education in ancient China represents one of the diverse manifestations of such education in human civilization. It exhibits distinct particularities while also sharing certain common elements and reflect-ing a universal essence with ideological and political education activities conducted in other historical societies, nations, and cultures.Throughout the prolonged evolution of human society, ideological and political education,as a component of the state apparatus,is rooted in the contradictory dynamics between productive forces and production relations at a given stage of social development. It neither emerged simultaneously with human society nor will it exist eternally beyond specif-ic historical conditions-an observation that equally applies to ancient Chinese society. From the slave society to the feudal era,the core constituents of China's ideological and political education were the various classes and strata engaged in in-doctrination activities. The sources and relationships between educators and the educated evolved dynamically with dynas-tic transitions, exhibiting fundamental characteristics of hierarchy, dependency, and interactivity under varying historical conditions. The indoctrination activities carried out by those who were or aspired to be the ruling class-through religion, morality, literature, law, and other forms-essentially constituted what we now define as ideological and political education. Its intrinsic nature can be summarized as"class indoctrination".关键词
