An all-analog SPWM wave generation circuit for motor drive

Abstract
To address the low integration and poor compatibility with motor-driven H-bridges caused by the reliance of existing SPWM wave generation circuits on digital control units,an all-analog integrated SPWM wave generation circuit was designed.An 8-segment linear DAC was adopted as the core of sine wave synthesis,and a quarter-period sine wave was achieved through 256-step fine approximation,combined with a logic selection circuit to complete the sine wave output.A programmable capacitor array was used to adjust the peak value of the triangular wave,and a high-speed comparator was employed to compare the sine wave with the triangular wave in real time to generate the SPWM wave.The circuit was designed using a 0.18 μm BCD process,and the test results showed that the sine wave step error was less than±0.5%,the triangular wave peak adjustment linearity error was less than±1.2%,and the SPWM wave duty cycle error was less than 1.05%.This circuit solves the pain points of difficult integration and response lag in traditional schemes,and provides key technical supports for the monolithic integration of high-performance motor-driven chips.关键词
