Application of transposon technology in gene function research and genetic engineering of Clostridium

Abstract
Clostridium is a group of Gram-positive anaerobic bacteria widely distributed in natural environments and living organisms,playing a significant role in human health,biomedicine,and industrial production.However,due to the relatively limited molecular genet-ic tools available for Clostridium,the exploration of key functional genes,elucidation of molecular mechanisms,and the construction of high-performance engineered strains remain challenging.In recent years,transposon technology has emerged as an efficient genetic manip-ulation tool in research on Clostridium species,providing effective technical means for gene delivery,genome editing,functional genom-ics,and metabolic optimization.This article systematically reviews recent advances in transposon-related technologies for Clostridium,dis-cusses their current applications and potential in gene function identification and strain engineering,and offers perspectives on future tech-nological developments.The aim is to provide insights and references for both fundamental research and industrial applications of Clostridi-um.关键词
