Major Theme Education Incorporated into the New PEP Edition Junior High School Mathematics Textbooks:Systematic Cognition,Current Manifestations,and Teaching Suggestions

Abstract
The new edition of Junior High School Mathematics textbooks published by the People's Education Press(PEP)thoroughly implements the core requirements of Major Theme Education.Based on the inherent attributes of Major Theme Education within mathematics textbooks and the specific structural characteristics of the mathematics curriculum system,a systematic cognition of this educational content in the new textbooks has been established.The current manifestations of Major Theme Education are illustrated from three dimensions:content selection,presentation carriers,and integration styles.To assist junior high school mathematics teachers in effectively utilizing the new textbooks for Major Theme Education,the following suggestions are proposed:First,cultivating an awareness of the necessity of Major Theme Education to strengthen the sense of identity among educators.Second,synthesizing objective insights from diverse viewpoints to holistically identify opportunities for implementing such education in a multidimensional manner.Third,understanding the distinction between explicit and implicit presentation methods and their respective characteristics to adopt targeted instructional strategies.Finally,enhancing the connection between textbook content and real-world contexts to achieve a creative transformation from curriculum materials to classroom instruction.关键词
