"好教师"如何可能
How is a"Good Teacher"Possible?

Abstract
"How to cultivate good teachers"is a constant and core inquiry in teacher education.By taking John Dewey's speeches during his visit to China from 1919 to 1921 as the core historical materials,we can reconstruct his teacher education thought system based on the context of China's social transformation.Dewey's definition of a"good teacher"does not provide a universal list of qualities but rather constructs a dynamic framework with"professional spirit"as the inner soul and"social leader and democratic sower"as the ultimate role.Within this framework,"knowledge,sympathy,and social mission"form the three cornerstones of a"good teacher",while the"professional spirit"that elevates a"craftsman"to an"artist"is the core driver that endows these qualities with vitality.Based on this view of a"good teacher",Dewey envisioned a four-dimensional teacher education system:aiming to cultivate"builders of democratic society",with"professional communities"as the practical subjects,"life-integrated curriculum"as the content carrier,and the"unification of professional spirit and educational love"as its value soul.Dewey's ideas,after being creatively transformed by Liang Qichao,Tao Xingzhi,and others,profoundly influenced the path of modern Chinese education.His discussions on the role of teachers,professional self-awareness,and curriculum integration provide important historical mirrors and theoretical resources for implementing the"Four-Haves"good teacher standards and promoting the connotative development of teacher education in the new era.关键词
