无庸置疑，21世纪的遗产保护业忆突破理论和概念的学术范畴，变为一个全社会共同关心的话题，更至成为一个全球性的务实。但是遗产保护的实际管理和动作等，都无不爱保护理念、保护政策、保护模式以及具体的操作技术的影响和制约。就我国而言，由于地域和文化等的差异，各地如火如茶的保护实践中不乏成功中饱历失误，同时又颇具自身特色的管理运作模式。本文以江南乡的苏州“平江路历史街区”和浙江“西塘古镇”作为案例，探讨共在政府主导下的运作模式的异同和得失，以期为未来的保护实践提供参考或借鉴。
